01/04/2005 : Preview the RZ570 and the MZ770

Riso Strengthens Its Traditional Product Range - Previews new RZ570 and MZ770 at Northprint

Riso (UK), the leading digital printer manufacturer, will preview the RZ570 and the MZ770 on Stand A147 at the Northprint show, Harrogate Exhibition Centre, from 19 - 21 April 2005. These new additions to Riso's traditional product range will be officially launched in the UK later this year. The RZ570 is an A3 machine offering print speeds of up to 130 pages per minute, a D600dpi and a highly competitive cost per page. The MZ770 will be Riso's lowest priced ever, two colour machine providing a D600dpi and up to 150 pages per minute. These digital printers are targeted at Riso's traditional high volume, low cost market including education, government, print for profit, religion, trade unions and public services sectors.

The RZ570 machine features an LCD touch screen that makes operating the RZ570 easy and intuitive. The ‘customisation' function enables short cut options for frequently used functions such as multi-up printing. There is a volume indicator that monitors and indicates consumable levels to enable customers to re-order their supplies in good time, minimising printer down time.

Richard Thompson, Managing Director, Riso (UK), said: "These two machines are a great addition to our traditional product range with some really useful built-in intelligence to make printing even easier. The combination of high specification and realistic price makes these very suitable options for businesses and non-profit making organisations alike.

"The MZ770 makes two colour printing affordable and practical for mainstream markets and fits in with our strategy of identifying and filling in gaps in the market with practical, affordable machines.

"By September 2005, we will have launched six new products in a 12 month period. This demonstrates our commitment to setting the pace in this marketplace."

Both models can print on a variety of paper stock ranging from 45gsm to 210gsm. The machine is able to print labels, multipart stationery, envelopes and carbonless papers. The machine offers a choice of 18 soy ink colours plus custom ink colours to match branding, allowing users to add spot colour to documents for extra impact.

The MZ770 will appeal to those organisations that have been using single colour printers, but now have the need to upgrade to a two colour machine that is practical and easy to use.

The RZ570 is expected to be launched in the UK in May this year, while the MZ770 will be launched in September this year. Both products will be distributed through Riso's well established network of channel partners and dealers and via a direct sales organisation.
