RISO at The Print Show 2015

From schools, hospitals, councils and commercial printers, they came.

The Print Show 2015 at the NEC in Birmingham took place last week, and RISO UK was proud to have been one of the first major companies to sign up.

Shows are amazing events to attend. The build up involves a lot of planning, a lot of investment in terms of time and managing people.

From the decision to attend, the meetings to plan the stand and its design, to marketing and PR, the logistics of getting devices to the right place at the right time, the show itself, and the days afterwards, a show is far more than just a few days in a huge hall with other companies.

RISO_TPS_Pic1Of course, there are also the follow-ups afterwards and the many leads to go through and respond to.

The Print Show was new to the events calendar this year, and it appears to have been a success.

From talking to different people on a range of stands, a variety of people attended. It was great for RISO to speak with existing clients who visited, and potential customers who had come to see what was on show.

On our stand, the A2 digital duplicator saw a lot of people fascinated by what it could do. The speed of the Wrapping Envelope Finisher got people people thinking about how they could use it. The DigiFeed accessory caught the eye of a number of people.

One of the great things about shows is the ability to demonstrate devices to people face-to-face. Can it do that? How do we do this? Is it that fast really? Our experienced team were on hand to answer these and many more questions.

RISO_TPS_Pic2RISO has now signed up to the next show already. We had a lot of people to the stand, and in a room packed with innovation and print solutions, our unique products stood out.

It made sense to us to sign up again.

(But, while we think that the show was fantastic, we think one of the straplines may need to be altered. “Print is back” was the phrase on the social media channels. Print has never been away but it is constantly evolving and shows are a great way of shouting about it).
