CSR

As a world-leading organisation, RISO understands its responsibilities and the positive impact it can make on society.

Striving for sustainability, RISO aims to generate positive social impact, supporting communities, individuals and the environment. Working in 190 countries and regions, we have the global scale and reach to positively contribute to communities around the world. We are conscious of our responsibility and reputation for maintaining exemplary business practices with our employees, customers and partners.

RISO has a responsibility to play a constructive role within the community, and we consider social, environmental and ethical matters essential to creating a long-term sustainable business. Through our innovative products, solutions and support, we help organisations of all sizes and sectors improve the way they work, helping them take the necessary steps to achieve their CSR goals.

  • We assess our performance and success, not merely by our bottom line, but rather the combination of people, planet and profit.
  • We know our employees are our greatest asset and without them the high quality products and first rate customer service we provide would not be possible.
  • We are committed to providing solutions in a sustainable, ethical, fair and environmentally responsible manner.

Our slavery and human trafficking statement describes the actions RISO has taken to help prevent modern slavery, detailing our business, structure, supply chains and training.

RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION (RISO) is committed to conducting business with integrity and in compliance with the letter and spirit of the law. The commitment to conducting business with the highest level of ethics, standards and responsibility is reflected in RISO policies and procedures (reference: RISO Compliance Guidelines) and the implementation of the Corporate Compliance Hotline (“the hotline”).

The hotline aims to provide a channel for RISO EMEA employees, business partners and any other related parties to raise concerns on any violations of legal or regulatory requirements, and this policy outlines the procedures for reporting, handling and investigating cases where inappropriate conduct or behaviour is noticed, reported or suspected. Since the start of 2022, RISO UK has been proud to sponsor Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary just a short distance from our home in Watford as part of our corporate social responsibility policy.

Cecil’s became a registered charity in June 2016, offering a loving permanent home to horses and ponies who are old, abandoned, or neglected.

Seeing the important work they do for the local community, we wanted to offer our support and sponsor one of their wonderful residents.

“We are delighted that RISO UK Ltd became our very first corporate Gold Sponsor and that the pony they chose is our very special blind pony, Noodles. He is a very special boy and loves eating bananas and playing with his pal Swayze.

Many of our residents come to us with physical and/or mental health problems – some requiring special diets or ongoing medical treatment. Our ethos is for all the ponies to have a happy life where they enjoy just being ponies. They live together in herds and spend the day with their friends eating, sleeping, drinking, and playing. They are fed, watered, cared for, and loved. Many of the ponies have paired up and formed close bonds with another pony in the herd”.

The sanctuary relies entirely on donations, events, open days and the hard work of the founder and volunteers. They receive no government funding – their ability to rescue animals and offer a secure and safe life for them, is dependent on fundraising.

One of the ways you can help is by sponsoring a horse or pony, either individually or as part of a business — through volunteering, or by simply donating. You can find out more at their website below:

This year, RISO UK is very happy to be a new main shirt sponsor of Mountfield Rovers Under 9s.

Mountfield Rovers JFC are an established community-run football club who are blazing a trail in the Manchester Youth Super League. We join the ranks of sponsors which help fund items like football shirts, training tops, and raincoats. All sponsors play a really important role in grassroots football, particularly with so many teams at different age groups that play for Mountfield Rovers JFC, and we’re thrilled to be just a small part of this wonderful initiative that’s helping so many young people get out there and enjoy the beautiful game.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to RISO for agreeing to sponsor our team. Grassroots football is only possible due to the support of local volunteers and sponsors like RISO and we’re extremely grateful for their support. We hope that this is the start of a lasting sponsorship.”
