Energy-saving operations
No heat is used during the print-imaging stage, so less electricity is needed. This energy efficiency adds up to significant cost savings over the life of the printer.
In independent testing, the RISO ComColor FT5230 saved enough energy compared to a laser rival in one daily printing task to light a classroom for three weeks**

As there are fewer parts that need regular maintenance on our inkjet printers such as drums, fusers, transfer belts etc. compared with toner devices, overall maintenance costs and strains on natural resources are reduced.

That’s why we launched our Tree Planting Initiative, helping to support reforestation projects through our printer sales.
Working in partnership with Ecologi, we’re helping to restore forests and support communities across Kenya, Madagascar and Mozambique. Every printer purchased contributes directly to global reforestation, helping create healthier ecosystems while supporting local jobs, education and long-term livelihoods.

We’re proud to have already planted 10,340 trees, and every new RISO customer helps that number continue to grow.
Our reforestation projects are delivered through trusted partners, including the International Tree Foundation (ITF), which has been restoring forests and empowering local communities in Kenya for over 100 years.
The projects are community-led, with local people growing seedlings, planting and maintaining forests, and benefiting from sustainable sources of income. As forests recover, communities also gain opportunities through agriculture, beekeeping, tree nurseries and improved food security. Nordic Swan compliance
RISO is proud that the inks for the Valezus V2 have been inspected by Nordic Swan, and they comply with the Nordic Swan Criteria 041 for printing houses and printed matter and can therefore be used in Nordic Swan labelled printed matter.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official nordic countries ecolabel. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel was established in 1989 by the Nordic Council of Ministers as a voluntary labelling scheme for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel supports reducing the environmental impact of the production and consumption of goods and is an effective tool to help companies that want to incorporate sustainable solutions. It makes it easy for consumers and professional buyers to choose the environmentally best foods and services.
